Apartment in the center of Thessaloniki
The main target while designing this apartment was to put all the common spaces, such as the living room, the dining area, the kitchen and a small desk, together in an open plan, thus allowing both visual and functional contact. In the kitchen area, the island functions as a continuation of the kitchen and unfolds into a dining table as a single and integral part of the food production process. A wooden structure serves all the needs of the living room and has the ability to transform, simply by pulling a panel. Thus, the appearance of the living room is constantly changing. White and earthy shades with few touches of color, as well as wooden elements create an intimate and warm atmosphere, along with the play of light shadows from the perimeter openings. As for the master bedroom, its characteristic elements are the wallpaper behind the bed, which gives the illusion of three-dimensionality, as well as the cladding of the wall opposite the bed, with the two hidden doors. The concept is completed by the two bathrooms, which range in earthy tones, playing alongside with wood elements and 3D wall coverings, thus exuding a sense of calm and rejuvenation.
