Tourist resort in Asprovalta, Thessaloniki. The challenge of designing this was to create a composition that would harmonize with the natural landscape, characterized by olive trees. The design of the environment was done in such a way that functions were harmoniously accommodated within the natural landscape without affecting existing trees. Nature and human activity coexist harmoniously, with design lines guided by the natural surroundings. The pool and an outdoor circular constructed gathering lounge with a fire pit blend seamlessly into the environment. Then, two similar newly constructed 50 sqm buildings emerge, forming a cohesive composition—two squared volumes, simple and modest in colors that resonate with nature. Their architectural composition was crafted so that the built and unbuilt elements harmonize, with neither overpowering the other. In the central courtyard created between the two structures, an olive tree is placed, emphasizing the effort for the building to become one with the natural landscape, like a chameleon. The interiors of the two residences follow the same design lines and color palette, with the blue color appearing in constructions to evoke the sea. Inside and outside seamlessly merge, creating a successful place that becomes the ideal destination for relaxation and tranquility.
