The design of DJANGO streetfood was a challenge, as it had to reflect a space that is fresh, youthful and fun—a spot that would become a youth hangout in the heart of Thessaloniki.
Just as kitchen ingredients blend together to create unique flavors, so too were colors, shapes, textures, and materials blended. The two colors used—bright yellow and terracotta—give the space a pop, refreshing, and playful character. The geometric shapes found throughout the space define and frame the different functions, while at the same time highlighting details and creating visual perspectives. The textures and different materials, such as polished concrete and inox metal elements, add an urban touch to the space and highlight the central part of the street food restaurant, something further enhanced by the linear lighting. All these elements come together harmoniously yet dynamically, creating a place where food becomes a complete experience.
