Detatched house in Pefka_main

The architectural composition of this project posed a massive challenge as it required blending the client’s desires with a difficult and unique sloping terrain. This led to specific decisions, such as breaking the ground floor of the residence into two levels to follow the slope of the land, allowing the user easy access to various platforms created. The design of the house is minimalistic, featuring clean volumes that intertwine with a hidden inclined roof, following the principles of bioclimatic design. The building turns its back to the road and the north with small openings, emphasizing the elongated structure that highlights the staircase and opens towards the south and the view with large windows and openings. The bioclimatic pergola to the south helps harness solar light as desired while also creating a semi-outdoor space on the ground floor that houses the barbecue, also overlooking the view.

The basement of the residence includes parking, the ground floor houses the living room, kitchen with a pantry, the dining area, and a guest room. The upper floor comprises the master bedroom, an office, and two more rooms. The interior of the house is modern, minimal, and contemporary, combined with some more classical and distinctive elements, such as certain light fixtures and furniture. Materials and colors blend ideally, creating a beautiful, elegant, and warm result. Noteworthy features of the residence include the composition in the living room that accommodates a fireplace, television, and storage, the wing of the master bedroom on the upper floor containing a dressing room and a private bathroom to the north, and an open bedroom area facing the view. The office is separated from the rest of the space with a glass partition that offers privacy while allowing ample light inside.

It should be emphasized that special attention was given to the play of light both externally and internally in the residence, thanks to various architectural elements used and the alternation of natural and artificial light.
